SpaceX Challenges Hackers
The aerospace company of Elon Musk offers researchers and cybersecurity specialists to hack the Starlink network and report the detected errors.
SpaceX is willing to pay up to $25,000 for this.
SpaceX made the announcement after cybersecurity specialist Lennert Wouters claimed that he managed to hack Starlink using a homemade device. SpaceX congratulated Wouters on the hack, noting that his experiment should not bother Starlink users and will not have a direct impact on satellites.
The company is ready to work with researchers who will find errors in the security of Starlink without disrupting the service, and report the results. For this, they will receive from $ 100 to $25,000 — depending on the significance of the problem that they can identify.
